Bill is dedicated to making quality handcrafted items. Each item is designed for functionality of as well as beauty. He pays utmost attention to the details: from careful wood selection, to quality joinery and finishes, down to their signature on each piece. The unique natural characteristics of each piece of wood are seen as assets; spalting, figure, grain, and burls are often showcased in the finished jewelry boxes and tables.

Bolstad also make use of colored and dyed woods in their creations. Often the coloring process accentuates the unique properties of the wood grain or offers an unexpected contrast to natural wood colors.

Each box or table is designed to become a family heirloom, intended to be used for generations. Bill Bolstad want all of his creations to enhance and bring beauty to the everyday lives of his clients.
