Inspired by the animals and landscape of the High Desert, Ingrid Lustig creates passionate and color-saturated paintings and monotypes in a loose, free style. Not content to reproduce reality, Ingrid strives to capture the essence of the animal or land in her work and imbue a sense of discovery and mystery. She says “Images of animals are my way of honoring their presence, beauty and power on the planet as well as in our lives.” Her love and respect for wildlife is grounded in her past work with wildlife conservation, which includes managing a wolf pet rescue reserve and serving on a Greenpeace expedition to save baby Harp seals. 

Ingrid is represented by High Desert Gallery in Central Oregon and is in collections in the Northwest and beyond. She earned a B.A. in Fine Arts from Washington State University.
